Who said winter can be boring? Not in Mongolia!

Not only you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in proper international standard ski resort but taste of true Mongolian nomadic life!

We have prepared for you a special tour where all events will take in areas with their own uniqueness – from beautiful Siberian taiga filled with reindeers to vast Gobi desert roamed by two humped camels. And remember that in between these beautiful scenes you will see one of the ancient cultures of mankind – falconry or eagle hunting.

Day 1 (March 1) - Arrival

We’ll meet you at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar and transferred for flight to Moron town, the center of northernmost province Khovsgol. Upon arrival drive to Khovsgol lake. Dinner and overnight in ger camp. (D).

Day 2 & 3 (March 2-3) Ice Festival and Ice Marathon

After breakfast, enjoy the annual Ice Festival. The opening ceremony of the festival consists of traditional Mongolian concert and shaman ritual. The first event of the Ice Festival is the Ice Marathon where skaters have to participate in a 100 km race. There are many activities to enjoy such horse riding on the frozen lake, visiting local nomad family and ice shooting. On the second day of the festival you can enjoy ice race, wrestling on ice, horse riding and other activities. Dinner and overnights in ger camp. (B, L, D).

Day 4 (March 4) Flight back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast drive back to Moron town for air transfer to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to a hotel. You can have optional ski or snowboarding. (B, L, D).

Day 5 (March 5) Eagle Festival

After breakfast we’ll set to attend the Spring Eagle Hunting Festival which takes place just outside of Ulaanbaatar. The festival is full of various activities such as eagle hunting competition, archery shooting competition on galloping horses and eagle training. Dinner in Ulaanbaatar and overnight in hotel. (B, L, D).

Day 6 & 7 (March 6-7 ) Camel Festival

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Dalanzadgad town, the center of southernmost province Umnugobi (South Gobi). Upon arrival drive to and enjoy your lunch at ger camp. The festival begins with Parade of Camels and continues with camel polo competition. Also awards will be given “Most Handsome Couple on Camelback” nominations. Exhibition of paintings by local children will be displayed followed by performance of local young talents. On the second day of the festival, you will enjoy camel race in two different age categories (adult and two-year old camels) where you can even place a bet on your favourite racing camel! There is also competition between teams each with 5 members to catch, train and load camels with Mongolian gers (yurts). The festival will be officially closed by presenting awards to winners. Dinner and overnights in ger camp. (B, L, D).

Day 8 (March 8) Flight back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast drive back to Dalanzadgad town for air transfer to Ulaanbaatar. Farewell dinner and overnight in a hotel. You can have optional ski or snowboarding. (B, L, D).

Day 9 (March 9) Departure

After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport for departure. (B).
