Hunnu Air Replaces MIAT at ULN – ERL route, Introduces ATR-72

Hunnu Air had started serving the scheduled route between the Mongolian capital city Ulaanbaatar and a Chinese city of Erenhot (also referred to as Erlian or Ereen) on August 19th, 2016. The airline performs its regular flights to Erenhot Saiwusu International Airport (ICAO code - ERL) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Previously, in August of 2013, MIAT Mongolian Airlines (the national flag carrier) launched regular flights to Erenhot on its B737 just soon to be dropped off. 

On 10th of July, 2016 Hunnu Air also introduced an ATR-72 turboprop to its fleet making it the first operator of this kind of aircraft in Mongolia. The aircraft with hull number JU-8801 has a configuration of 72 passenger seats with a flight range of 600 km.

The airline also launched temporary flights on July 3rd, 2016 to Baotou, another Inner Mongolian city, until the end of 2016, with possibility to extend this date.
