Belarus to open embassy in Ulaanbaatar

belarus_mongolian_relationsBelarus will open its embassy in Mongolia in 2014, reads Resolution No.1069 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 12 December 2013.

The Embassy will be opened in accordance with paragraph 8 of the regulations on the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Belarus approved by Decree No. 247 dated 9 July 1996.

The Finance Ministry shall finance the costs of opening and maintaining of the Belorussian Embassy in Mongolia from the funds set aside in the national budget for the opening and maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular missions of the Republic of Belarus abroad.

Previously, Belorussian Prime Minister Miasnikovich visited in September 2014. During his visit, the Belorussian PM stated that there is a good background to boost relations and collaborations in fields of trade-economy and education and offered a collaboration in supply of agricultural machinery, economically effective electric equipment, buses, electronics to Mongolia and cooperation in oil refinery field.
