Air Traffic over Mongolia Getting Busier

Mongolian_Air_TrafficThe Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (MCAA) released a winter air traffic schedule. According to the schedule, MCAA has received 74,403 requests to conduct flights over the Mongolian airspace between October 26, 2014 and March 28, 2015 by 48 international and Mongolian air carriers.

Hunnu Air returns two Airbus A319 to lessor

Hunnu Air (MR) has returned both of its A319-100s to their lessor following a downturn in Mongolia's air travel market. CH Aviation GmbH, a Swiss based aviation intelligence company that leased the jets made such an announcement on November 20, 2014.

In the line with the “Smart Ulaanbaatar” program approved in 2014 by the Citizens Representatives Council of Ulaanbaatar, the mayor of capital city  Bat-Uul E. and Susan Pointer - Senior Director Public Policy & Govt. Relations Asia Pacific Middle East Africa Russia, Google Inc., have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Ulaanbaatar city administration and Google Inc.

National Flower of Mongolia selected

National-flower-of-Mongolia-ScabiosaScabiosa Butterfly Blue was named as the National Flower of Mongolia by the Government decision made during its regular session on October 25, 2014. According to the decree, the flower symbolizes a harmonic lifestyle with the nature.

Ulan-Ude-Ulaanbaatar-flight-PANHRegular flights between Russian city of Ulan-Ude and Mongolian capital city of Ulaanbaatar might be resumed soon. Announcement of a such possibility was announced by the Head of Russian Buryat Repulic's - Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn during the official visit of Mongolian members of parliament to the republic in August 2014.

Gandan Monastery The Veterinary and Animal Breeding Department of Ulaanbaatar conducted a disinfection and sterilization of Gandantegchinlen Monastery on October 29, 2014 as the area is a place for the gathering of a large pigeon population that visitors feed by hand.

Hunnu Air discontinues Hong Kong flight

Hunnu Air AirbusHunnu Air announces the cease of its Hong Kong - Ulaanbaatar flight. The airline announced its decision to halt all flights to Hong Kong on November 5, 2014. According to the official statement, main reason behind the decision was the low passenger load factor on this route due to economic difficulties.
