Great Genghis Khan exhibition opened

The “Great Chinggis Khaan” exhibition is now open at the Mongolian Government House in Ulaanbaatar.

During the opening ceremony which was held on 25th October, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Altanhuyag Norov noted that “for two hundred years between the XIII and XIV centuries almost every corner of the world was referred as a part the of the Great Mongol Empire and all talks were only about Mongols. Since then no single country among all 200 countries existing currently has shaped the two centuries of the history like did Mongolia. I can only compare the pace of then-conquests to the current speed of the internet. If, we, Mongolians can arouse that fast paced spirit in ourselves, Mongolia will prosper".

The Exhibition on 850th anniversary of the Great Chinggis Khaan is showcasing; The Secret History of the Mongols, which was written by the Great Khaan`s royal family, Chinggis Khaan`s close friend, his late enemy Jamukha`s golden belt, a Mongolian warriors arms, the Great Khaan`s silver gerege or tablet of authority for the Mongol officials and envoys, an ancient golden cup and golden coins.

The “Great Chinggis Khan” exhibition will be held for a month at the Government House. The exhibition is available to visitors every day between 10:00-13:00, 14:00-16:00, except Monday.
